The 3rd National Postdoctoral Academic Forum on Evidence Science was held in Shanghai from November 18th to 19th, 2023. Experts, scholars, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows from more than 20 universities or research institutions across the country participated in this forum. 

The report of this forum is divided into seven thematic units, namely "Basic Theory of Evidence Law", "Judicial Proof Issues", "Court Science", "Criminal Procedure and Evidence Issues", "Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Evidence Issues", "Civil Judicial System and Evidence Issues", and "Scientific Evidence Issues". In each thematic unit, each speaker will first give a speech, followed by questioning and free discussion.

Finally, Professor Sun Changyong and Professor Zhang Baosheng delivered concluding remarks. Professor Sun Changyong once again affirmed the value and significance of the Evidence Science Forum, and expressed opinions on the translation methods of some terms, encouraging young scholars to reflect frequently, maintain a rigorous academic attitude, and scrutinize knowledge in details. Professor Zhang Baosheng expressed the importance of updating the concept of evidence, hoping that everyone can keep up with the times. At the same time, he also has high expectations for young scholars present, and looks forward to more excellent works on evidence reasoning in the next forum, promoting the transformation of research perspectives from static legal evidence systems to dynamic evidence reasoning.
