On November 5-6, 2022, the second National Postdoctoral Academic Forum on Evidence Science was successfully held in a combination of online and offline methods. A total of 43 doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows from various universities across the country gave keynote speeches, 20 teachers provided paper reviews, and more than 400 people participated in this forum both offline and online.

The conference is divided into ten units, focusing on the fundamental theories of evidence law, the extraterritorial perspective of evidence law, the substantive evidence issues in court trials, court science, empirical research in evidence law, judicial proof issues, new evidence application issues, evidence law in the digital era, civil evidence, and scientific evidence. Thematic speeches and discussions will be conducted on ten topics.

 

At the closing ceremony, Professor Zhang Baosheng summarized. He used the keywords "D", "E", and "F" to outline the gratifying changes in the theme of this conference's papers from the single exclusionary rule of illegal evidence at the 2015 International Symposium on Evidence Theory and Science to the research on acceptability rules and judicial proof; This article discusses the development process of evidence science and the important role of conducting narrow and broad research on evidence science in the construction of the rule of law and judicial civilization in China. And there are three points to hope for that have not been emphasized: firstly, the hope for the development of evidence science in China is placed on young doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows; Secondly, it is our responsibility to understand and transform the world, conduct in-depth research on the basic theories of evidence science, lead social development, and promote institutional innovation through conceptual updates; Thirdly, evidence science research should be based in China and have a global perspective.
