On November 15th, 2015, an academic forum on topic of “Centralized on Trial Process” was successfully held at Quzhou Hotel, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province, which was hosted by the Qujiang People’s District Court while sponsored by Quzhou Lawyers’ Association.
As one of the first round events for CUPL Research Project “Studies on Implementation of Centralized on Trial Process and the System of Witness Testifying in Courtroom”, four associate professors from China University of Political Science and Law (“CUPL”) participated in this event, led by Associate Professor Zhuhao Wang, together with Associate Professor Hongqi Wu, Associate Professor Kunlun Liu and Associate Professor Zhenhui Wang. More than 70 delegates from the Quzhou court system, procuratorate, public security bureau and local law firms attended.
Professor Zhuhao Wang, the research project leader, made an opening remarks, with a brief introduction to the other three CUPL colleagues and the main topics of the forum.
Professor Kunlun Liu, Professor Hongqi Wu and Professor Zhenhui Wang, later delivered speeches respectively under the theme of “Centralized on Trial Process”.
This Young Scholar Academic Forum program is one of the first round events under the cooperation platform between the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, CUPL (“the Evidence Institute of CUPL”) and the Quzhou Qujiang People’s District Court. Earlier this year, the Evidence Institute of CUPL and Qujiang People’s District Court jointly announced the established of an education-practice cooperation platform located in the Qujiang Court.
