From October 22nd to 24th, the Dean of Korea National Forensic Service, Xu Zhongxi visited our university for academic exchange at the invitation of the “2011 Plan” China Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization and the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, CUPL.

The Dean of NFS, Xu Zhongxi and the Director-General of Daejeon Health Sciences College, Li Rude received warm welcome by the Honorary Dean of the Institute, Zhang Baosheng and the Dean of the Institute, Chang Lin. Chang Lin, the Dean of the Institute led the guests to visit Fada Institute of Forensic Medicine&Science. During the later discussion, Chang Lin focused mainly on the introduction of the current situation and the prospects of China’s forensic science, the application of scientific evidence in trial and other cutting-edge issues. The Dean of NFS, Xu Zhongxi outlined the identification field of NFS and its achievements. Also, he looked forward to a deeper level of communication in the area of professional cooperation.

In addition, the scholars from National Forensic Service gave lectures in Fada Institute of Forensic Medicine&Science. During the lectures, DONGHOON LEE first introduced the basic information of National Forensic Service. DONG KYE LEE and SONG HUI KIM respectively gave lectures focusing on the themes of “Forensic Chemistry Division” and “Appraisal Practice of Traffic Accident in KOREA”. Their wonderful lectures arouse strong resonance among the present scholars and experts and were welcomed by the teachers and students of our university.

Korea National Forensic Service has had wide exchanges and communication with the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, CUPL in the fields of the education of forensic science, talents exchanges and trainings and the research of forensic science. Also, scholars from both sides have had many studying visits, establishing close friendship and enhancing the overall level of China and Korea’s research and practice in the field of forensic science. This visit and exchange activity has further consolidated the partnership between the two sides and will surely play a positive role in promoting the two sides’ deep cooperation and professional interaction in the future.
