Invited by the “2011 Plan” China Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization, the “111 Plan” Base for Evidence Science Innovation and Talent Recruitment and the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, CUPL, Professor Aviva Orenstein from Indiana University Bloomington – Maurer School of Law successfully gave a three-week course on topic of “AMERICAN EVIDENCE LAW: Confrontation, Privilege and the American Trial” for CUPL graduate students from June 1st to June 17th, 2015.
Indiana University was one of the best universities in United States of America. Maurer School of Law was one of the top law schools with great reputation worldwide. Professor Aviva Orenstein is specialized on evidence and civil procedure law.
This lecture lasted for more than half a month and Professor Orenstein mainly focused on the following topics:

Part V A mock American Trial
Professor Orenstein’s lectures focused on Hearsay, Confrontation and Privilege. And the mock trial provided a great opportunity for Chinese students to be familiar with American Trial in terms of Jury Selection, Direct Examination and Cross Examination.
