From May 17th to 18th, 2016, the 3rd Singapore-China Social Governance Forum was held in Singapore. Secretary Meng Jianzhu, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Director of Comprehensive Treatment of Social Management Committee, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean attended the opening ceremony and delivered keynote addresses.Associate Dean of the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, Professor Zhong Zhang attended the forum as the representative of CUPL, and submitted academic thesis titled "Justice is the primary value of the evidence system", also spoke and discussed on "The authenticity of Internet data", "Coroner system", "Neutrality of the judge"and so forth.
More than 100 representatives, specialists and scholars from China and Singapore participated in the forum, delegates made a comprehensive exploration and communication with three topics including "Social Governance and UrbanizationSocial Governance with big data and cloud computing in an Information Age" and "Creating a Fair and Effective Justice System".
Legal Affairs Committee Secretary-General Yongqing Wang, who is also Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council and Deputy Director of Comprehensive Treatment of Social Management Committee, delivered the main theme speeches for the forum. Ming Huang,Vice Minister and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of China's Ministry of Public Security, and Shaochun Lin, Guangdong Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the CPC Central Committee, spoke on specific topics. Haizhou Dong, Vice Minister of Ministry of State Security, and Hui Li, Assistant Foreign Minister, also attended the forum. Deputy Director of Comprehensive Treatment of Social Management Committee Xunqiu Chen, who is also Deputy Secretary-General of Legal Affairs Committee and Director of Comprehensive Treatment of Social Management Committee, summarized the forum in the closing ceremony.
