Professor Keith Brian Morris and Professor Kelly Renee from West Virginia University (USA) visited Fada Institute of Forensic Medicine & Science on 8th July, 2017, accompanied by Yuhui Lin, a police sketch artist, Professor Dong Zhao, Associate Professor Yuanfeng Wang, Associate professor Bing Li, Lecturer Jing Wang and Dr. Shiquan Liu.     

Professor Dong Zhao introduced the development of laboratories and technologies in Fada Institute of Forensic Medicine & Science. In addition, they visited the Department of Forensic Medicine and Department of Criminalistics.

Professor Keith Brian Morris and Professor Kelly Renee then visited China Forensic Science Museum (CFSM), which is the first museum of forensic science in China. Professor Dong Zhao illustrated the history of Forensic Science in China, achievements in each period and the influences for developments of Forensic Science in the world.

Finally，Professor Xu Wang , Dean of Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, moderated a meeting for conversation. Several agreements have achieved in academic communication, talent training and discipline building. In addition, Professor Keith Brian Morris and Professor Kelly Renee gave presentations separately on the development of Forensic Science in West Virginia University, and training for Forensic Science in America. Yuhui Lin, the Chinese police officer, introduced his experience of creating the sketch of the man accused of kidnapping a Chinese visiting scholar based on only grainy surveillance video clip.
